August 15, 2024

ANCHORAGE – Carlile Transportation is proud to announce that Carlile drivers Brad Hinkes and Jesse Slipka will compete in the National Truck Drivers Championship (NTDC) in Indianapolis, IN, from August 21 to August 24, 2024. The annual event is sponsored by American Trucking Associations which is the largest trade organization for the trucking industry.

The championship is an annual event that showcases the best truck drivers from across the nation. Participants demonstrate their driving skills, knowledge of safety, and professionalism in a series of tests and challenges. Two Carlile drivers qualified for the national competition by earning first place Regional Awards on June 8th in Anchorage, Alaska. Hinkes is from Fairbanks and will compete in the 3-Axel Tractor Semitrailer Class. Slipka, also of Fairbanks, will compete in the 5-Axel Sleeper class.

“Safety is Paramount for all employees at Carlile. The fact that two of our drivers are competing in this prestigious event is a testament to their commitment to safety and excellence in transportation. It’s a big achievement,” said Faith Meeker, Fairbanks Dispatch Manager for Carlile.
