Carlile Puts Student Mechanics on the Road to Success

2025 Applications for Paid Internship Open in January

 

ANCHORAGE, November 20, 2024 — Carlile Transportation celebrated a successful inaugural year of the paid Diesel Mechanic Internship program and is looking forward to new applicants in 2025.

The program was established in 2024 and is in partnership with the Anchorage School District and King Tech High School to offer students a comprehensive learning experience in the field of diesel mechanics. The first group of four students completed the program in June 2024 and one of those students now works for Carlile.

“Carlile is committed to workforce development and fostering skills among students. Developing talent is an important part of growing a strong workforce in Alaska which is why we value the partnership with the Anchorage School District and King Tech High School,” said Cameron Coursey, who is Director of Repair & Maintenance at Carlile.
